Coconut Chutney

Here's a quick recipe on how to make Nariyel ni Chutney/Coconut Chutney!

Nariyel ni Chutney Coconut

Ingredients:

4 heaped tbsp greek yogurt

1/4 cup grated fresh coconut

Salt to taste

1 tbsp oil

1 tsp cumin seeds

Curry leaves

Chopped green chillies to taste

Coriander leaves to garnish


Method

In a bowl mix together the yogurt and grated coconut. You can use dessicated coconut but fresh is better in this chutney recipe. Once mix add in some salt and mix again.

In a pan heat up the oil and once hot add in the cumin seeds. When the cumin seeds brown and become fragrant add in the curry leaves and chopped green chillies - adjust to your taste.

Sauté for a minute then add this into the yogurt and coconut base. Mix well and garnish with corainder leaves.

The coconut chutney is now ready. I love this with dhokla and any South Indian dish. Enjoy!
